Monday morning
Got a busy day today. Checking out of Hamburg first thing, 4 hour drive tp Cologne to have lunch with Auntie Dorothy, then 2hour drive to Antwerpe. Going out for a meal with WindMillMan and managed to book in at lovely posh ikea prison hostel. Then early start on Tue for ferry back home!

Friday and Saturday I will be at Hotel Jagerso in Malmo, Sweden
Sunday I will be at Hi Hostel, Hamburg, Germany
Monday I don’t know yet.

Wednesday lunchtime
Hello again. I’m heading up to Copenhagen this afternoon so I’ll be ready to pick April up from the airport on Thursday lunchtime. This’ll be my last day by myself so I hope that will keep you worry a bit less. I’m still picking decent hostels to stay in so don’t worry. xx

Tue teatime.
Hello again. Early morning wander round Munster. Very pretty but just didn’t like it. It’s holidays here I think so everywhere is just crawling with teenagers on school trips. Very annoying. I thought I’d be best getting as far north as possible sooner rather than later so I won’t risk being late picking April up on Thursday. I arrived in Hamburg and thought I’d try to find a room for the night – luckily got the very last room. I’ve also been fine for parking too, it’s free in a lot of cities, and if it’s not been (without me realising it) I’ve not been ticketed or towed. Hope you are reading this and keeping Nan and Grandad informed. xxx Off to watch the Wigan match hopefully.

Monday evening.
Hi Mum (and Dad), I’m now in Münster in Germany, staying in a very traditional hostel, with ping pong tables and a cupboard of boardgames. The lake is very pretty, but it’s tipping it down so it looks like I’m stuck indoors for the evening apart from venturing out to find food. Still got all my contact lens solutions with me too! 🙂

Monday 13th.
Still in Antwerp. Been nice to have a base for a few days but need to get back on the road. I’m heading to Munster in Germany today, to a little quiet hostel on the banks of a Lake. Will be a fair old drive but I’ve not had any problems with driving on the wrong side at all, so please don’t worry. Love you Mum! And Dad too as I know she’ll read this out to you. Say hi to Noel for me if you visit.x

Sat 11th.
Off to find an English pub with a big screen to watch FA Cup final. Been raining all day so bought a brolly. And a phone charger. Hooray! Glad i brought a coat now. It’s freezing.

Friday 10th.
Hi Mum. I’m in Antwerp now. Didn’t want to drive too far today because I was very tired. The hostel least night was VERY noisy so I hardly got any sleep. I had hot waffles and cherries for breakfast in town because I just wanted to get out of the hostel asap. Found a nice clean hostel today so I have just booked in for 2 nights, and I have my own room and bathroom. Its 23€ and I get breakfast with that. Auntie Julie has sent me a photo of Noel having playtime so I’m not worrying about him. I was a bit miserable yesterday and this morning but I’m much better now. Be nice having same bar for 2 days, can get up for a wander early in the morning without worrying about when i have to check out. That’s all for now. There’s only so long you can hang round cafes without buying anything just to use the free wifi!

Wed 8th.
I rememered my contact lens solution and didn’t drive too fast on the way here. I’ve drank lots of water, eaten at reasonable times AND even though I’m staying with friends I made sure I didn’t get too late a night. I’ve already filled my water bottle ready for the morning. I have not yet checked exactly where Dover is but its on my satnav so I’ll be fine.

Most of all you’ll be proud because I looked at a map of Europe on google this morning, and did think “Jeez thats a long way, I’d best take a coat”. I know – You’re impressed aren’t you?.
